Lorikeets are distinguished by their bright red beaks, colourful plumage and their loud, rambunctious antics.The largest, brightest and best known of the eight species is the rainbow Lorikeet. It is also the most commonly seen bird in urban backyards. After gorging themselves from garden bird feeders or from handouts, Lorikeets can be seen happily flouncing around in a bird bath.
